Hooks That Survive the First Second
The opening frame is doing most of the work.
The viewer decides while the video is still loading. Your first frame should already show something — movement, a face mid-expression, or text stating the payoff.
Avoid opening on a logo, a slow fade, or an introduction. Both spend attention you have not earned yet.
Test hooks by watching your own video with sound off. If you would not stay, neither will anyone else.
