Editing and B-Roll

Lay the voiceover down first, then cut visuals to it. This keeps pacing tied to meaning rather than to whatever footage you happen to have.

Change what is on screen at least every four seconds. It does not need to be a hard cut — a zoom, a text overlay or a graphic all count.

Remove every pause longer than about half a second. Silence that feels natural in person feels dead on video.
